The Empress’ castle is built on an island in the middle of a waterfall, from the level of the waterfall it’s a series of canals going to a small tower, from below it’s a huge complex with small harbour at the bottom.
The whole complex is powered by giant waterwheels fixed to the side and powered by the waterfalls.

Oxspindle bridge maybe? With art nouveau leanings?
Might be of interest to some people.
I was archiving some PSDs and found all my oxspindle ones, here is a compilation of the major changes put together as a gif, the original sketch is about 2cm high I think.
They key thing I learnt on this was to keep holding down the white, it’s the easiest thing to let go out of control and not realise.

The Grand crater city of Shepreth. Extending deep within the earth that crater of an ancient and huge asteroid bought with it some very valuable and exceptionally rare metals, making the city the richest in the region.
